Indemnified is a hard rock, progressive band with a unique sound that makes them a stand out in the local Albuquerque New Mexico music scene.

Often compared to a Deftones and Tool love child, Indemnified was founded in 2008. After some lineup changes they currently consist of West Galloglass on vocals, Travis Grob on lead guitar, Andrew Hodgson on keys and rhythm guitar, Ray Buckman on bass guitar and Don Ivie on drums.

Indemnified is not your typical hard rock, progressive band but instead are more intellectual and thought provoking. Their lyrics and musical compositions encourage their listeners to not just listen to the words and the music but to think about the songs and what they say about life and the world around us. Their writing style is inspired and influenced by personal heroes Hunter S Thompson, Tool, Deftones, Drudge, Maximum Hormone, Chevelle, A Perfect Circle and Pink Floyd.

Indemnified has become a regular in the local scene and in 2011 opened for national touring band, Evans Blue, best known for their 1998 single “Cold”. After taking some time off, Indemnified has been keeping a steady pace in playing shows to support the release of their album. They are thankful that they have shared the stage with other great local bands but what they really enjoy is sharing the stage with their favorite local band, Throw the Temple.

In 2012 Indemnified took a little time off from playing shows in order to spend time writing and recording their debut full length album, “Clockwork Solider”. The album was recorded at Third Eye Recording Studio located in Moriarty, New Mexico and was mastered by Howie Weinberg Mastering Studios located in Los Angeles, California.

With the upcoming release of their album, Indemnified would like to start touring to expand and grow their fan base. All bands can attest to the pressures of life testing the strength of a band and Indemnified is no different. Indemnified has faced several setbacks but still strive to remain together as a band and to grow and learn from each other as musicians and as a whole. Indemnified would like to note that their overall goal and mission is to take the title belt from those local divas, Throw the Temple.

Indemnified’s shows offer a unique experience for the audience and it doesn’t matter how the music moves you but rather that you are moved and take something away from a show. Indemnified is not one of those bands who encourage their audience to mosh, dance, scream, head bang or anything else but instead Indemnified aims to inspire their audience to listen, think and feel that moment.

Indemnified’s next show will be their biggest and best yet. On April 26, 2013 at the Launchpad, Indemnified will be hosting the long awaited release of “Clockwork Solider”. Also on the stage that night will be locals Mourning to Mercy, Fade the Sun and Throw the Temple.

Throw the Temple is melodic lasagna of alternative sex rock that calls Albuquerque, New Mexico their home.  They have been a steady presence in the local music scene since 2010 that bring a sense of humor to every show, and interview, which makes them a stand out in the competitive diva world of Albuquerque local music. The ingredients for Throw the Temple are Gabe Gambino on vocals and rhythm guitar, Matt Garcia on lead guitar and backing vocals, Joey Diaz on drums and Kody Audette on bass and backing vocals.

If you like bands such as Metallica, Pantera, Slayer or Five Finger Death Punch then Throw the Temple may not be the band for you, but if you enjoy Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Alice in Chains, Queens of the Stone Age, Deftones, Weezer, Pixies, Seal or Rick Astley then you are going to have a good time.

Since Throw the Temple solidified their line up in 2012, they have achieved many things. They released a four track demo, toured far off lands such as Arizona, were voted as one of five local bands to play Edgefest 2012, and received the coveted title and belt of the 2012 Edgy Best Local Band. They also appeared on the After After Party with Steven Michael Quezada, have their own line of condoms, and are currently ranked number 2 on Reverb Nation’s alternative rock charts.

Even with all Throw the Temple has accomplished so far, they still all have dreams and aspirations of owning personal giraffes and to be a successful, diva driven, nationally known band that will live in Seattle but will always call Albuquerque home.

With all seriousness and joking aside, Throw the Temple is just four humble, fun, hilarious, approachable guys who play hard and work even harder. They love and appreciate all their fans and it is their love of the music and the fans that keeps them going.

A Throw the Temple show is not just a good time, it is a great time with feel-good music that has a groove you can get down to and I promise you won’t make it through a set without laughing! Come check them out for yourself at their next show, Friday April 26, 2013 at the Launchpad for Indemnified’s CD release.

Skulldron is a stoner, doom metal band reminiscent of metal bands such as Black Sabbath, Down, Crow Bar and Thin Lizzy. Skulldron has been a regular in the Albuquerque local scene since July of 2010. They have had several changes but they are now settling in on their current lineup. Skulldron consist of David Baca on guitar and lead vocals, Andes Fingold on drums and Clayton Nunnally on bass and backing vocals and Daniel Heard on lead guitar.

Skulldron are four metal heads who become one cohesive machine who bring their own flare and flavor to metal. You can hear the influence of Black Sabbath, Pantera, Slayer, Down, Orange Goblin and even Led Zeppelin in this metal monster of doom.

Albuquerque based Skulldron has been busy playing more than 50 shows in and out of town but their most successful year was 2012. They released their debut album which they recorded at Third Eye Recording Studios; located in Moriarty, New Mexico and played the second stage at the Rockstar Uproar festival.

Skulldron has many goals for their future including touring more and a tentative release of a follow up album in late 2013 or early 2014. Their ultimate goal is to take over the world while representing Albuquerque in all things metal.

Skulldron are four hardworking guys who appreciate all their fans for their love and support both locally and globally. They also are true supporters of their own local scene as well.

What you can expect to experience at a Skulldron show is a no gimmics, no ego, not emo or speed metal show but instead just four chill laid back musicians who are bringing back classic metal while having fun doing so. You can catch Skulldron at the Launchpad on May 4th or at Blackwater for an all ages show on May 24th.
